He began his career with IBM Global Services based in Farnborough, Hampshire. After working on one of their first Object-Oriented C++ projects, he began to earn a name for himself as an expert in software development. He led small teams and began running OO and C++ training courses for both associates and clients and was a founding member of the Application Development Skills Forum. Soon the bright lights of the city of London called and James left IBM to work on a number of contracts working on financial projects for Fidelity Investments and IQ Financial Systems (now part of Misys). After travelling the world for seven months, he returned to the permanent job market and worked for MEI formally a Mars/Masterfoods company. After opting out of a move to the states, James started the GeckoFoot business. He continues to develop software and web solutions for diverse clients and industries growing the business rapidly. Our contracts have included UBS Investment Bank and PayStream and we have now released BarStock our stocktaking tool for the licensed trade. |
